Getting started
How do I add my village?
- Open Clash of Clans and tap Settings (the gear).
- Tap More Settings, scroll down to Data Export and tap Copy.
- Open BuilderBell. It finds the copy on your clipboard and asks to add the village.
If it doesn't pick it up, tap Update and then Paste manually. The copy holds only your village's levels and timers: it gives no access to your account.
Why do I have to copy my village again after starting an upgrade?
The Data Export is a snapshot of your village at the moment you copied it. BuilderBell can't see into the game, so it only knows about an upgrade you start once you copy again.
The quick loop: get an alert, start the next upgrade in the game, copy the Data Export, open BuilderBell. It updates the village by itself and shows what finished and what started, with an Undo.
I play more than one account. How do I add them all?
Switch to each account in the game and copy its Data Export in turn. When BuilderBell sees a village it doesn't know yet, it asks "Add this village?". Each one gets its own card on Home, and alerts always say which village they're about.
Why does my village say "Town Hall 18" instead of my name?
BuilderBell looks up your public in-game name and clan online. If you were offline when you added the village, or the lookup failed, it shows the Town Hall until the next try. Pull down on Home to refresh. You can also give any village a nickname from its ⋮ menu.
Alerts
My alerts come late, or not at all
First, in BuilderBell open the bell (Alerts) screen and check that notifications are allowed and that Alarms & reminders is on: that's what makes alerts arrive on the minute.
If they're on and alerts are still late, your phone's battery saver is probably holding BuilderBell back. BuilderBell notices this and shows a help card on the Alerts screen. The steps for common phones (menu names vary a little by model):
What alerts does BuilderBell send?
- Finished: a builder, the lab, the pet house or a Builder Base slot is free, with what just finished.
- Still idle: one reminder an hour later, only if you haven't copied your village again since.
- Helper ready: a helper such as the Builder's Apprentice or Lab Assistant can work again.
Turn any of them off on the Alerts screen. There's also an optional loud alarm sound.
Fair play & your data
Is this a hack? Can it get my account in trouble?
No, it's not a hack. BuilderBell never logs in to your account, doesn't run the game for you, and doesn't change anything in it. It reads only the text you copy with the game's own Data Export button, plus the public profile anyone can see through Supercell's official API.
It's a fan-made app, not made or endorsed by Supercell. It will never ask for your Supercell ID, email or password. If anyone claiming to be BuilderBell asks for them, don't share them.
Is it free?
Yes. A small banner ad on some screens pays for the server. There are no pop-up ads and no paid features: everything in the app is free for everyone.
A cost, time or max level looks wrong
After a game update, BuilderBell's game data is refreshed online, so the app picks up new levels without an app update. Pull down on Home to check for new data. If something is still off, email us the building and level, and a screenshot of the game if you can.
Where is my data? How do I move to a new phone?
Your villages are stored only on your phone. To move them, open Settings → Save backup, put the file somewhere you can reach from the new phone, and use Restore there. Restoring adds villages and never deletes anything.
To delete a village, use ⋮ → Remove village. Uninstalling deletes everything. More in the privacy policy.
Still need help?
Tell us your phone model, your Town Hall level and what happened. A screenshot helps a lot.
